Aloha! Tonight’s tours were successful, with all of our groups being able to get up close to surface lava safely. The lava is slowly making it’s way to the ocean, but is still about a mile away. The tilt meter, which can be found on the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory website, is showing DI inflation. This basically means that the amount of lava that is being produced increases, so we can expect the lava flows to continue. The weather was nice and the moon was very bright, making for a beautiful evening. All of our guests were very happy with the tour and left with a feeling of accomplishment. Until next time, Aloha!
