April 26, 2012 Lava Update

Aloha! Tonight we had two tours go out. The first was the 4:00pm and the second was the 5:00 pm. Both groups were able to safely get up close to surface flows. The leading edge of the eastern lobe has advanced just a little. TheĀ  lava is approximately 0.6 mi away from hitting the ocean. Small surface flows couldĀ  seen on the Pulama Pa. As of right now, the Tilt meter is currntly showing DI Inflation , so we can expect lots of lava. Until next time!
