June 3, 2012 Tour

Aloha! Last night was a beautiful night with the moon and the lava combined. The leading edge of the flow advanced further onto the coastal plains. Our group was able to view lava up close and safely. The flow up on the Pali has also advanced further downhill. For the  past two days the tilt meter has recorded DI inflation and activity is noticeably higher with the inflation.

This and more information can be found on the USGS website.( http://hvo.wr.usgs.gov/ )

The weather was also cooperative and the skies were clear and overall activity is good.  Now is a good time to book your tour. Aloha!
