Aloha Folks! The lava is still flowing and still active even with the DI deflation. There were multiple breakouts that our group was able to view safely. Tonight was a little damp with multiple showers that moved in. That did little to dampen the activity. The flow up on Pulama Pali is still advancing even with the DI deflation, but it seems as if the flow that made it’s way onto the coastal plains is slightly slowing the acivity on the Pali. Overall activity is still good , so now would be a good time to book a tour. Until next time, Aloha!
Aloha Everyone! We had an awesome show tonight and were able to safely get up close to view some nice surface flows. There were multiple breakouts that our group saw and they were very active.
The flows coming down the Royal Gardens subdivision are now flowing down the hillside in tubes and advancing in surface breakouts. Up on the Pulama Pali the surface flow is advancing downhill. The weather was cooperative, although we got sprinkled on a few times. Activity right now is good and now is a good time to book a tour. Come join us and get up close and personal to some hot lava. Till tomorrow, Aloha!
Aloha! Tonight was great, even with a little bit of rain. Our groups were able to safely view lava and were treated to an awesome show. Yesterday surface flows reappeared in the Royal Gardens subdivision and made it’s way onto the coastal plains. Tonight the flow was approximately 0.5 mi from the base of the Pali. There were multiple fingers coming off of this flow, which is flowing down the hillside in rivers. Overall the activity is picking up after having stopped flowing since late last week. Book your tour now and get up close to actual flowing lava!
Until next time, Aloha!
