August 9,2012 Lava Tour Update

Aloha everyone on this wonderful Aloha Friday in Hawaii.  We hope everyone is having a great day. Our August 9, 2012 Lava tour, our guests got to see some nice Lava flows on the coastal plains again. Still the Lava flows are active at this time. Many surface breakouts could be seen tonight and touched. Touched? that’s right touched. We meant poking the Lava with a 2 meter stick. You also could checkout live photos from the Hawaiian Volcanoes Observatory website on there webcam page. Both our 4pm and 5pm tours were very happy for what they have witnessed on our tour. Still there were a steady inflation at this time. The lava lake in Pu’u O’o and Halemaumau didn’t have any changes over the past day. Active didn’t increase or decrease in the past 24 to 48 hours. All could change in a few days or hours. The Kalapana Lava Viewing area, which is open for the public, had great view of the Lava cascading down the Pali in Royal Gardens about 3 to 4 miles away. Awesome viewing. Well have a great day and enjoy! ALOHA
