August 22, 2012 Lava Tour update

Aloha everyone again! Lava flows were still very active on the coastal plains. The leading edge is almost a half mile from the base of the Royal Gardens Pali(hillside) and about 1.2 miles from the ocean. No ocean entry at this time. We had 3 tours lastnight. Really good viewing lastnight. There were many surface flows visible and we were able to get up to some nice rivers of Lava. There were huge glow coming from the top of Royal Gardens Subdivision where our guides reported to see a HUGE breakout making it’s way to the coastal plains. The eastern lobe on the Pali, which was making it’s way to the coastal plains, was also very active. At the summit deflation had started yesterday but didn’t effect the activity on the flow field. Really minor deflation. Well hope to see you on the flow field with us. Give us a call and book a tour now. LAVA UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL!!!
