Aloha! The leading edge of the flow has advanced further downhill and has started to burn the top of one of the remaining Kipukas of the abandoned Royal Gardens subdivision. We were able to safely view multiple surface breakouts, as well as a slow moving river of lava. The flow has advanced approximately 0.6 mi since the September 25th, which was Tuesday night. The terrain is still very rough and there is still an incline, so this hike is still Extreme. The weather was beautiful and the full moon made for a spectacular night. Overall lava activity is high, so if you want  an experience of a lifetime, call for more info or to reserve your spots. Aloha!
