October 30,2012 Lava Tour Update

Aloha everyone! Minor inflation at both craters had no effect on the flows on the coastal plains. At the summit of Kilauea, the Lava lake had stayed below the inner ledge but rising at a slow rate. Inflation at the summit had started early Tuesday morning but t a slow rate. At Pu’u O’o crater, the activity was at an average. There was small inflation occurring through out Tuesday. There was 41 earthquakes on the Volcano Monday and it is getting pretty interesting right now.

The activity on the coastal plains had not slowed down due to the Deflation thus week. Lava flows were seen at the flow front, on the eastern part of the flow field and also on the Royal Gardens subdivision. Lava flows were strong and very impressive Tuesday night.  Our guests were very impressed for what they have encountered Tuesday  night. Flows showed no desire to slow down due to recent deflation. Book a tour now or plan a vacation soon. Get the LAVA while it’s HOT!!! ALOHA
