November 20,2012 Lava Tour Update

Aloha everyone again! Still the activity at the summit of both Kilauea and Pu’u O’o had been very active and elevated. At the summit of Kilauea, the lava lake fluctuated and had rose just below the inner ledge. Glow still could be seen from Pu’u O’o crater and we also could see the glow from the coastal plains. Awesome events happening on the summits.

As for the coastal plains the flows remain active on the base of the Royal Gardens subdivision and on to the flats towards the ocean. The leading edge remain sluggish but towards the base of the Hill side and the middle part of the coastal plains. The Lava flows were very active in those areas but the leading edge are still flowing at this time but very sluggish. All tours last night were successful. The weather had held up for our tours. Book a tour soon and be next to creation. Mahalo!
