December 13,2012 Guided Lava Tour Update

Aloha folks! Wow what a beautiful night it was. The skies stayed clear for our tour last night. Rain had been falling in our area off and on for the past week but just for last night the skies opened up presented a magical night. The ocean entry last was just perfect. Our guests were treated with a nice river flowing into the ocean and many small rivers accompanying that man river. The viewing was just perfect. No other tours but ours was out there so viewing was awesome. The surface flows above were active and flowing. Just above the ocean entry there was a beautiful surface flows which our guests were treated to. Massive breakouts and  small little fingers of Lava were trying to make it’s way to the ocean. What an awesome night.

At the summit of Kilauea, Minor fluctuations of tilt is being recorded. At Halemaumau crater the tilt meter recorded minor deflation. The Lava lake fluctuated up and down right below the inner ledge of the crater. But at Pu’u O’o crater the tilt meter recorded minor inflation. Glow still could be seen from Pu’u O’o crater. Activity is still high on Kilauea as of right now. Also from the county viewing area Lava could be seen flowing down the Pali. A massive breakout revealed it self for Wednesday night a treated the tourist with some Lava. Mahalo for tuning in to our Blog again. ALOHA!!!
