Aloha everyone! Ongoing deflation has caused Lava to slow down and nearly stopping the lava from entering the ocean at this time. Lava flows on the coastal plains were still active but ongoing deflation at the summit has slowed the surface flows also. The Lava lake at Halemaumau crater had dropped and fluctuated just about 50yards below the inner ledge. At Pu’u O’o crater the Lava lake still looks very active last night. Lava flows on the crater floor had shown on HVO’s webcam. A nice size breakout on the Pali was visible last night. As for our tours. They all were successful last night. The ocean entry was kind of stalling out but there were a little Lava entering the ocean. Surface flows above was incredible though. Surface flows were wide spread through out the coastal plains. Our guests were very happy. Inflation should be occurring soon. Stay tuned for more updates. Mahalo!
