Aloha! Tonight our groups were able to view both the surface flows and the ocean entry. Multiple surface flows were visible and safely approachable near the ocean entry. Lava was entering the ocean in multiple areas along the cliff edge, while surface flows nearby are slowly making their way to the cliff edge. The weather was also good and this made for an awesome sunset.
Up on the Pali, the surface flow near the top of the abandoned Royal Gardens subdivision that was flowing a few days ago had stalled out completely, but a new surface breakout near the base of the Pali had opened up. This breakout was actully a small river and could be seen from a distance.Overall activity is good as the tiltmeter is currently recording an ongoing inflation. This means that we can expect good activity in the next few days. Until next time, Aloha!
