Thursday February 20, 2013 Guided Lava Hike

Aloha Gang! We had a great time tonight with awesome views. Our groups were able to safely view both the surface flows and the ocean entry. Tonight’s weather was very cooperative with clear skies and a beautiful sunset.  The ocean entry is still approximately a .25 mi wide with multiple entries hitting the ocean. There is a deflation happening, but the overall activity is still very good. On the hike back bright glows could be seen on the clouds above Pu’u O’o crater.  Overall activity is good, so book now to experience this for yourself. Until next time, Aloha!
