Aloha! Hope everyone is doing well. Our tours were able to see surface flow and ocean entry lava. We were able to get up close to the surface flow safely and able to view the ocean entry from a safe vantage point. There was a new ocean entry point that had started most likely the night of February 27. This new ocean entry is approximately 25 yards closer than the previously closest flow. This started from a surface flow that made it to the cliff edge. The ocean is pretty rough right now, so we were able to see the wave action against the Cliffside and the lava itself. Up on the Pali there was a surface flow visible. This surface flow seems to have broken out on the side of the lava tube system, which is coming down through the abandoned Royal Gardens Subdivision. The weather was great and everyone was happy. Till the next post, Aloha!
