What a beautiful evening!, Aloha Guys. There were surface flows and multiple ocean entries that were visible and we were able to safely view both. The surface flows were located right above the nearest ocean entry point. The ocean was a little rough as waves were crashing into the ocean entry points and sometimes small bits could be seen flying into the air with the splashes from the waves. Up on the Pali, the surface flow has for sure stalled and could not be seen.
The tilt meter, which is found on the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory website is recording an inflation at Halema’uma’u. While Halema’uma’u is inflating, Pu’u O’o is gong through minor DI events. There are still surface flows to be found and the ocean entries are very active. The weather was also very nice. Another awesome night. Aloha!
