Aloha Kakou! The lava activity is still good and there are surface flows that are still near the ocean entry point, which makes it possible to see both without having to hike very far in between. The ocean entry is very active and there are three main entry points of which two are visible. The third entry point is inside or near the eastern boundary of the Hawaii Volcanos National Park. The surface breakouts are occurring on the side of the lava tube system, which is feeding the flow field and ocean entry. Really good activity at this time (and the weather isn’t bad as well). Till next time, Aloha!
