Aloha gang! Lava Activity is at a minimum at this time. Lava continued to enter the ocean. There are two distinct entry points at this time and both entry points are outside of the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The most active out of the two is the most eastern entry point, which is closest to our launching point. The ocean entry has been steady. Lava viewing was incredible for our guests and everyone was pleased.
Major fluctuations was recorded at Pu’u O’o vent. This huge deflation and inflation event must be a sign of increased activity on the coastal plains. These fluctuations and events are heavily monitored by our Kalapana Cultural Tours staff. More updates are still to come. Come and join us. Mahalo!
