Aloha Kakou! What a beautiful evening we had tonight. Although there are no surface flows, the lava activity is good at the ocean entry. The nearest entry point is really active and lava could be seen flowing down onto the newly formed black sand when the waves receded. Every once in a while a wabe would cover the flowing lava, but would only slow it down for a short period of time. Like nothing happened, the lava would continue to flow. A surface flow broke out on the bench while we were there. This was a short lived surface flow that we could not get to because of the area it was at. The moon is half full, which gave us a little moonlight and added to the already beautiful night. See you later, Aloha!
