Aloha gang! Lava flows are not active on the coastal plains but is active just over the Royal Gardens Subdivision. It is approximately a 5 to 6 miles to an active flow each way. Lava flows is making way to the coastal plains area at this time. Lava flows are approximately 2 miles southeast of Pu’u O’o crater and advancing daily. The peace day flow tube system(Tube system feeding the coastal plains) remain active. Lava is still traveling through the tube system. A scouting mission from our guides will give us more information about the hike . Distance, Time, Difficulty of the hike and also activity will be reported in the next couple days.
