Aloha everyone again! Lava flows continued to be very active. Lava flows had transferred to the eastern part of the flow field. Flows were active east of the the National Park Boundary but the pressure had changed and flows were active on the most eastern part of the flow field. Hiking was a little shorter then normal. Just about 2 1/2 miles each way. Lava flows were strong and faster then normal. Huge amounts of lava had covered a nice chunk of land. Our guests were extremely happy. All of guests were treated to some of the best flows we have seen the whole week. Inflation at the summit will make viewing this weekend to look forward too. Book a tour now. Aloha!
Aloha everyone! Activity on the coastal plains still remain active at this time. Lava flows have been creeping it’s ever so close to the ocean. Flows remain just about 1/2 mile away from the ocean. There is no ocean entry at this time. Flows have been just about 1/3 of a mile wide breaks bigger breakouts closer to the Royal Gardens Subdivision. Those flows are a lot further then the flows we have been going to. Activity at the summit remained higher than usual. Steady Deformation at Halema’uma’u crater. The Deformation remained at just around neutral with n major deflation or inflation at this time. As for Pu’u O’o crater the Deformation chart has recorded a deflation with inflation following right after. The flows north of the crater remained active also. The glow from those flows could be seen from the coastal plains. But those flows are pretty much similar` as what we are seeing on the coastal plains. Lava continued to be active for our guests so come and join us while the Lava is flowing. ALOHA!

Aloha everyone! Activity on the coastal plain was active. Flows continued to move seaward but just about 1/3 of a mile away from the cliffs edge. Continued Inflation at the summit has increased the activity on the coastal plains and also the Kahaualea flows which is located north of the Pu’u O’o crater. These flows are not accessible but our tours could see the glare off the evening clouds. Those flows are very active at this time. As for our tours, our guests were extremely happy because of the flows they have witnessed. Hiking distance and length of time still remains the same at this time. Lava active will be pretty much the same this week with some increase in activity at times. Stay tune for more updates in the up coming days. Aloha!

Aloha everyone! Lava flows continued to be active on the coastal plains. Flows are about 1/3 of mile above the previous ocean entry. There is NO OCEAN ENTRY at this time. Beautiful surface flows were able to be seen on all of our tours. There are multiple breakouts on the coastal plain right now. The first breakout is just about 2 3/4 mile hike to the leading edge. The Pali breakout is just around 3 1/4 mile hike to and just a tad more active. Lava flows have been decreasing activity this week due to the major Deflation at Halemaumau crater and Pu’u O’o crater. Today Inflation ahead started so activity will pick up this week.Stay tune for more updates. Aloha!

Aloha everyone! Surface activity was still active on the coastal plains. Flows continue to creep towards the ocean. Flows are just under 1/2 mile away from the ocean’s edge. There is no ocean entry at this time. Minor flows just above the ocean entry had flowed over the edge and at periods there were a small amounts of an ocean entry. But it is not worth taking a boat tour at this time due to unpredictability of a ocean entry at this time. Our guided lava tours are the only way to get up to a active Lava flow. Aloo of our guests were extremely happy with the tour again. Don’t forget to bring Marshamellows for lava roasting. Until next time. Aloha!
